Qualifications

Possession of LCDC-II license by state licensing board.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough initial assessments to determine extent of chemical dependency and develop treatment plans.
Provide evidence-based counseling and therapy sessions to individuals, groups, and families.
Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
Offer education on effects of substance abuse and relapse prevention strategies.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care for co-occurring disorders.
Maintain accurate client records documenting interventions, progress, and outcomes.
Conduct regular reviews with clients to assess treatment effectiveness and address concerns.
Provide crisis intervention services and coordinate appropriate care.
Stay informed about current trends and developments in chemical dependency counseling.
Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training.
