Job summary

SCIEX is seeking an Application Scientist to support LC-MS product demonstrations, method development and customer training across North America. You will collaborate with Sales, Service and Product teams to deliver pre-sales support and technical expertise for the Clinical and Forensics markets.

You should have a chemistry or life sciences background with 2+ years in mass spectrometry, LC-MS and method development. Willingness to travel up to 75% and work on-site in North America is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with mass spectrometry and LC-MS methods development, validation and troubleshooting for LC-MS/MS.
• Ability to present scientific data clearly to diverse audiences and build customer relationships.
• Experience troubleshooting instrumentation and application-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver customer demonstrations showing SCIEX LC/MS products and workflows.
• Provide on-site training for customers on SCIEX hardware and software platforms and offer ongoing support.
• Identify growth areas with sales units and develop comprehensive application solutions with regional colleagues.
• Assist in defining and developing new hardware and software products and thoroughly test them within the product portfolio.
• Participate in conferences, seminars and training programs to stay updated.
