Job summary

SCIEX in North America seeks an Application Scientist to support LC-MS demonstrations, develop applications, and provide technical training for pre-sales activities. You will partner with Sales, Service, and Product teams to deliver expert guidance and robust solutions to customers.

The role involves on-site work, travel up to 50–75% depending on location, and collaboration across regions to advance SCIEX’s analytical capabilities in clinical and forensic markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related life sciences field.
• 2+ years experience with mass spectrometry, LC-MS, and analytical methods development.
• Ability to present scientific data clearly to diverse audiences and build customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver customer demonstrations showcasing SCIEX LC/MS products and workflows; provide on-site training and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with sales units to identify growth areas and key application opportunities.
• Develop comprehensive solutions for internal use or client deployment; collaborate across regions to build a full application solutions suite.
• Assist in defining and developing new hardware and software products; thoroughly test products in the nominal and accurate mass portfolios.
• Participate in scientific conferences, seminars, and training to stay current and contribute to the community.
