Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators is seeking a Learning Behavior Specialist to support students with IEPs in Arlington Heights. You will develop IEP goals, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with program guidelines to provide a free, appropriate public education.

Responsibilities include data-driven assessment, collaboration with families and professionals, and facilitating team meetings. This role requires NVCI training and a valid LBS license and involves on-site work.

Qualifications

• Develop IEP goals and benchmarks based on data related to present levels of student performance.
• Plan and conduct parent conferences for each student.
• Provide input on aides' goals and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in development of student IEPs according to program guidelines.
• Assess student growth through progress monitoring and annual state assessments.
• Compile and maintain IEPs and reports.
• Develop and implement daily classroom lessons aligned to IEP goals and data-driven interventions.
• Maintain communication with students, staff, parents, and administration.
• Plan and supervise classroom aides/assistants.
• Use technology to communicate, collect and analyze data, and report information.
