Job summary

EDU Healthcare in Champaign, Illinois is seeking a dedicated LBS1 Special Education Teacher to support students and school teams. You will develop IEPs, adapt curricula, and deliver instruction in one-on-one or small groups to promote academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.

You will track progress, maintain documentation, and collaborate with parents and colleagues in a structured school-based setting that observes built-in holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education.
• Active state licensure or certification or eligibility to obtain prior to start.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
• Previous experience in schools preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Work in a structured, school-based setting with built-in school holidays.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
• Modify general education curriculum to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Provide specialized instruction in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Track student progress and update IEPs throughout the school year.
• Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and IEP team members.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and district guidelines.
