Job summary

Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP is seeking a Professional Development Manager to lead training, coaching, and evaluation programs for lawyers across the firm. The role collaborates with department heads and management to design curricula that drive progression and retention.

Hybrid work is available, with on-site and remote flexibility for PD-related events. The PDM will oversee the Mock Trial Advocacy Program and related initiatives, manage the evaluation process, and supervise PD staff,

Qualifications

• This role requires five or more years of professional development experience at a law firm, law school, or professional services firm.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; a JD is highly preferred for the candidate pool.
• Familiarity with CLE rules and requirements is valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement substantive and skills-based curricula for lawyers.
• Lead mentoring, coaching, and development programs to support growth and retention.
• Manage the non-partner lawyer evaluation process and related communications.
• Partner with firm management to align PD initiatives with strategic goals.
• Coordinate firmwide academies and department/Practice Group training programs.
• Provide advisory guidance to practice group leadership on learning strategies.
