P&R Maintenance Crew in Decatur, AL is hiring Maintenance Workers to care for parks, recreational facilities, and public spaces.

We value dependable, hardworking individuals for outdoor work, with opportunities for a Crew Lead. Pay starts at $16.00+ per hour, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, depending on experience. We have 3–5 openings and room to grow into leadership roles.

Formación

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Previous maintenance, landscaping, groundskeeping, construction, or related experience is preferred.
• Ability to safely operate basic hand tools, power tools, and lawn equipment.
• Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working outdoors for extended periods.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred for Crew Lead applicants.

Responsabilidades

• Perform general maintenance and upkeep of parks, recreational facilities, athletic fields, and surrounding grounds.
• Mow, weed-eat, edge, trim, and maintain landscaped areas.
• Pick up trash, debris, limbs, and other materials throughout park and recreation areas.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining facilities, restrooms, pavilions, and other public areas.
• Perform basic repairs and general maintenance as needed.
• Operate lawn equipment, hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment safely.
• Assist with preparing athletic fields, parks, and facilities for games, programs, and special events.
• Load, unload, move, and organize equipment and supplies.
• Follow all safety procedures and supervisor instructions.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.
• Provide daily direction to maintenance crew members (Crew Lead).
• Assign and prioritize work (Crew Lead).
• Ensure projects and daily maintenance tasks are completed on schedule (Crew Lead).
• Monitor job-site safety and proper equipment use (Crew Lead).
• Communicate maintenance needs and completed work to management (Crew Lead).
• Help train and support crew members (Crew Lead).

Maintenance Worker

Position Summary

We are currently seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join a P&R Maintenance Crew in Decatur, AL. This is a great opportunity for candidates who enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and taking pride in keeping community parks, recreational facilities, and public spaces clean, safe, and well maintained.

We are looking to hire 3–5 Maintenance Workers and are also interested in an experienced candidate who has the leadership skills to serve as a Crew Lead and help oversee daily crew activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and upkeep of parks, recreational facilities, athletic fields, and surrounding grounds
• Mow, weed-eat, edge, trim, and maintain landscaped areas
• Pick up trash, debris, limbs, and other materials throughout park and recreation areas

Crew Lead Opportunity

Candidates with previous maintenance, landscaping, construction, groundskeeping, or supervisory experience may be considered for a Crew Lead position.

Crew Lead responsibilities may include

• Providing daily direction to maintenance crew members
• Assigning and prioritizing work
• Ensuring projects and daily maintenance tasks are completed properly and on schedule
• Monitoring job-site safety and proper equipment use
• Communicating maintenance needs, concerns, and completed work to management
• Helping train and support crew members

Qualifications

Compensation & Schedule
