The Grounds Guys is a full service landscape company serving Pflugerville and the Austin area. We are Veteran owned & operated and entering our seventh year, offering stable year-round work and growth opportunities.

We are actively interviewing for a Team Leader who can supervise a small crew, maintain properties, communicate with clients, and ensure safe equipment operation. Pay ranges $18–$20 per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Punctual, professional, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Effective communication with clients, team members, and management.
• Proactive leader and self-starter capable of interacting with clients and team.
• 2 years experience in landscape maintenance or related field.
• 2 years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform lawn and landscape maintenance: mowing, trimming, edging, pruning shrubs and trees.
• Conduct landscape enhancements: cleanups, mulching, plantings, aeration, overseeding.
• Safely operate commercial equipment: mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, chainsaws.
• Supervise a team of up to 3 and manage daily routes and clock-ins/outs.
• Address customer questions and ensure on-time job completion.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities and Duties

Perform lawn and landscape maintenance services including

• mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, pruning shrubs & trees, bed weeding, & mulch cultivation
• Perform landscape enhancement services including spring and fall cleanups, flowerbed cleanups, mulching, plantings, top soil application, aerations, lawn over seeding
• Safely operate equipment including commercial mowers, string trimmers, edgers, blowers, chainsaws, pole saws and pruning shears
• Proper handling of all materials
• Execute strong attention to detail and personal integrity
• Supervise a team up to 3 people while performing the delivery of services.
• Supervise proper & safe equipment maintenance and repair
• Address customer questions, comments, and concerns
• Prepare most efficient daily maintenance routes
• Manage daily clock in/out of team members, as well as, start/finish times of scheduled jobs
• Ensure the daily maintenance routes are started/finished on time

Leadership Qualifications

• Punctual, professional, & self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management
• Proactive leader and self-starter who can interact with our clients, prospective clients, and team members
• Able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines
• 2 years experience in this or a related field
• 2 years previous supervisory experience

• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 50 pounds & willing to work in varying weather conditions

• Current and unrestricted Driver's license with a clean record
• Must have experience driving a truck and trailer
