Job summary

DJ's Landscape Management in Romulus, MI is hiring a Lawn Care Technician. The role requires Michigan Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (Categories 3A, 3B, 6), at least 1 year of commercial lawn care experience, and a chauffeur's license with trailer experience.

Qualifications

• Michigan Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (Categories 3A, 3B, & 6) is required.
• 1 year of commercial lawn care experience, including operation of ride-on spreader.

• Basic math for measuring/mixing pesticides and calibrating spreaders.
• Smartphone to track time/materials and navigate properties.
• Ability to lift 50 lb bags of fertilizer.

Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizers and treat weeds, insects and turf diseases as a State of Michigan Certified Pesticide Applicator.
• Promote within and reward performance.
• Work independently or with a crew to support lawn care operations.

  Requirements

  • Michigan Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (Categories 3A, 3B, & 6 mandatory) is required.
  • 1 Year of commercial lawn care experience, including operation of ride-on spreader
  • A chauffeur's driver's license is required.
  • Experience driving a truck w/ trailer is required.
  • Basic math skills associated with accurately measuring and mixing pesticides, as well as calibrating spreaders to directed application rates
  • Possess a Smart phone and use to track time and material, as well as navigate to properties
  • The capacity to work independently or with a crew
  • General working knowledge of proper lawn and landscape management practices, including basic grass, weed, & disease identification
  • Flexible attitude open to helping in other areas of the business when needed
  • Ability to lift 50 pound bags of fertilizer
