Job summary

North Carolina Central University is seeking an Academic Services Professional in the School of Law to support student success. You will provide academic counseling, tutorials, and workshops to enhance study skills and bar preparation.

You will work with faculty and administration to promote retention and graduation, while maintaining confidentiality and delivering individualized coaching across the program.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited school is required.
• Active bar membership in good standing is required or preferred.
• Strong academic record in law school and demonstrated commitment to students.
• Experience supporting law students in academic settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support designed to increase retention and graduation of law students.
• Deliver workshops and individualized coaching to develop study and test-taking skills.
• Collaborate with administration and faculty to maximize student success and bar passage.
• Offer feedback and strategies to enhance writing and analytical skills for students.
• Support the implementation of tutoring and bar preparation programs.
