Job summary

Burnett Specialists is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist for a well-established law firm in Downtown Houston. You will manage payroll, benefits, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, and recruitment with discretion and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment, and hands-on UltiPro/UKG proficiency. This is a 100% in-office role with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR, business, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, ideally in law or professional services.
• Strong payroll, benefits, and employee relations knowledge.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle, multi-state payroll processing and compliance.
• Administer benefits enrollment, COBRA, FMLA, and 401(k) programs.
• Support employee relations, onboarding, and performance reviews.
• Assist with recruitment activities and job postings.
• Maintain personnel records and ensure regulatory compliance.
