Job summary

CGS Federal in the United States seeks an experienced Law Clerk to support all phases of litigation for a large federal agency office in Chantilly, VA. The role focuses on opioid-related and high-priority cases, with responsibilities spanning trial prep, document review, and coordination with attorneys. The ideal candidate holds a J.D.

degree and is an active U.S. Bar member, with strong civil litigation experience and proficiency in Lexis and Westlaw.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree required and active U.S. Bar membership.
• Experience in civil litigation, preferably federal cases and jury trials.
• U.S. Citizenship or applicable status.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of litigation in opioid and high-profile cases.
• Assist with trial prep and other litigation tasks.
• Review and analyze documents, transcripts and materials for relevant information.
• Use electronic databases for litigation support: review, organize, index, tag and summarize documents.
• Conduct database searches for documents and information.
• Troubleshoot issues with review platforms and tools.
• Apply redactions to documents, including audio files.
• Draft review memos and other litigation documents.
• Communicate with case teams regarding ongoing litigation.
• Draft and organize litigation review materials.
• Use task ticketing software to track case support.
