Job summary

The Office of Career & Professional Development (OCPD) at the University of Wisconsin Law School is seeking an energetic, service- and detail-oriented team member to support the Office's efforts to provide Law students with rewarding career opportunities.

OCPD provides a diverse study body with individualized career counseling, programming related to job search skills and resources, networking opportunities, and various recruitment programs, and facilitates pro bono and experiential learning

Qualifications

• Collaborative mindset and ability to handle multiple shifting priorities.
• Proactive and creative approach to problem solving and process improvement.
• Strong computer competency and comfort with various software and databases.
• Proven customer service skills and commitment to an inclusive student environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides students with information about internship opportunities, career planning, and employment opportunities and coaches students through the recruiting process.
• Proactively develops relationships and working knowledge of relevant industries.
• Schedules logistics and secures resources for on-campus recruiting activities.
• Serves as a point of contact for prospective employers providing advice and information about recruitment, engagement, hiring students, and addressing their needs.
• Manages Office of Career and Professional Development's expenses, calendar, and additional administrative duties.
• Participates in the campus-wide career services community providing input to leadership regarding the development of advising, recruitment, and co/curricular programs offered by the school/college
