Job summary

Colorado Department of Corrections in Delta, CO is seeking a Correctional Support Trades Supervisor I (CSTS I) – Laundry Supervisor. You will oversee inmate crews, ensure safe laundry operations, and enforce sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of employment experience in a commercial, institutional, or industrial setting operating commercial grade washers and dryers.
• May meet the four year requirement with a combination of work experience including correctional experience; include details in the Work Experience section.
• Substitution: apprenticeship program or degree may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis; attach transcripts.
• Required competencies include strong work ethic, integrity, reliability, judgment, and the ability to supervise inmates and communicate clearly.
• Preferred qualifications include supervisory experience within the past three years, inventory management, and linen procurement responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security of the facility and work sites; train and guide inmate crews in laundry operations and enforce policies.
• Supervise inmate work crews, schedule tasks, track hours and pay, and ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
• Maintain safe, secure laundry operations and equipment maintenance, inventory records, and clothing movement.
• Respond to emergencies and provide timely reporting; supervise PPE use and adherence to facility regulations.
• Oversee daily weight records, supply consumption, and ensure proper identification and handling of issued clothing.
