Job summary

Miraval Arizona Resort and Spa is seeking a Laundry Supervisor to lead daily laundry operations, staff scheduling, and quality control in a resort setting. The role requires attention to safety standards, cost-conscious management of products, and collaboration with laundry purveyors to ensure high-quality results.

A strong candidate will supervise staff, manage inventories, and support performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a hotel or resort laundry operations.
• Experience scheduling staff and managing workflow to meet budget targets.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to train staff.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred; ability to work flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with colleagues and understand linen needs of each department.
• Uphold high quality control, productivity, and retraining as needed.

The Laundry Supervisor should have a thorough working knowledge of all laundry equipment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to supervise laundry personnel to ensure productivity levels are maintained, and proper safety and sanitization standards are met. The Laundry Supervisor will also complete monthly inventory reports and reorder chemicals as needed. They will maintain the cleanliness and operation of the laundry equipment and report any malfunctions or issues.

Essential Functions

• Oversee daily operations in the laundry department.
• Provide adequate staffing in the laundry department by effective scheduling in accordance to budget parameters.
• Maintain a good working relationship with all colleagues and develop a thorough understanding of their department's linen needs.
• Maintain high quality control and productivity level reviewing job performance and providing re-training as needed.
• Maintain a re-wash program for stained linen.
• Work closely with laundry purveyors to ensure quality and application of laundry products is of highest quality, while being cost effective.
• Maintain poundage reports.
• Assist with performance reviews.
• Monitor the safe operation of the equipment and maintain all sanitization and cleanliness standards.

• General knowledge of laundry operations in a hotel or resort environment
• One year housekeeping or laundry experience preferred.
• Exemplary Leadership skills and a willingness to serve others.
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk during entire shift
