Job summary

Vestis in South Bend, IN is seeking a warehouse/industrial laundry associate to support safe, expeditious handling of merchandise within the facility. You’ll prepare workstations, transfer garments to hanging aids, dress shirts on hangers, and manage pant handling while maintaining quality and cleanliness.

You will identify items needing repair, ensure garments move along conveyors, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare workstation for the shift.
• Transfer hangers from hanger rack to hanging aids for shirts and pants.
• Dress shirts on hangers and manage sleeves as needed.
• Handle pants by waist and hanger to place on hanging aid.
• Identify merchandise repairs and tag items needing repair.
• Ensure garments are placed on an open conveyor pick.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow production practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
