Job summary

Vestis in South Bend, IN is seeking a warehouse team member for an industrial laundry facility. You will support loading and unloading merchandise, building loads ahead of schedule, and ensuring quality standards on each item.

Responsibilities include following load-building guidance, identifying items that do not meet quality requirements, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. Some overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following the days production plan.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.
• Work is based on a shift schedule, and may include weekends.
• Overtime required as needed.

Responsibilities

• Becomes familiar with load sheet and builds loads one day ahead.
• Follows load building guidance and loads product in order according to weight, size, type, and other specifications.
• Identifies and segregates mats that do not meet quality requirements (stains, gum stains, rips, tears, holes, or wet).
• Monitors merchandise not meeting specified quality standards.
• Manages safe operation of carts and adheres to safety standards for pushing/pulling loads up to 50 lbs+.
• Informs supervisor of shortages based on reporting process.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment and follows best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
