Job summary

Vestis is seeking an individual to perform team-based duties in an industrial laundry facility. You will handle merchandise safely and efficiently, select and prepare items for processing, and ensure accurate tagging and sorting according to garment families.

Responsibilities include identifying items not meeting quality standards, counting and sorting merchandise, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Shift work may include weekends, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand required training, written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Removes orders from the trolley or pulls used merchandise for mending, replacement, and exchange.
• Pulls badges/emblems and attaches to order form, sorts batches by garment families, sews badges/emblems on garments, and hems pants.
• Identifies and segregates merchandise not meeting quality standards and grading policy for used garments (rips, tears, holes, ink spots, missing buttons, loose hems, stains).
• Accurately counts and sorts merchandise, and sews badges/emblems straight and on the proper garments.
• Replaces garments on trolley and pushes completed trolley to next station.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment, and observes best practices in all production activities.
• Other duties as assigned
