Job summary

Topnotch Resort inVT is seeking a Laundry Attendant to ensure the proper sorting and distribution of laundry while maintaining high quality standards in our resort setting.

This part-time position offers Early Pay or Earned Wage Access, dental and vision options, hotel discounts, and a comprehensive benefits package. The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull wheeled carts up to 100 lbs.
• Basic English comprehension for safety labels and instructions.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Transport dirty and clean linen and terry to and from the hotel/spa and laundry facilities.
• Pre-sort and separate linen by classification and transfer to work stations.
• Run folding equipment to fold mats, blankets, towels, bedspreads, etc.; operate the ironer.
• Separate laundry requiring mending or stain removal.
• Empty hampers and prepare loads for washing.
• Provide assistance to washer by pushing carts from washing to drying area; other duties as assigned.

The purpose of this position is to ensure the proper sorting and distribution of laundry to meet high standards of quality.

Essential functions:

Responsible for transporting dirty and clean linen and terry to and from the hotel/spa and laundry facilities
Empty the laundry chute and prepare loads for washer.
Pre-sort and separate linen by classification and transfer by lifting, carrying or transporting to work stations.

Run folding equipment to fold mats, blankets, towels, bedspreads, etc. Includes running ironer.

Separate laundry requiring mending or special stain removal.

Clean empty hampers.

Supportive Functions:

Provide assistance to washer by pushing carts from washing to drying area.
Other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to lift, bend, stoop, carry, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time. May require lifting bundles (linen) weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as safety labels and instructions.
