Job summary

SPIRE Hospitality is seeking a part-time Laundry Attendant to support our hotel/spa operations. You will transport dirty and clean linen, pre-sort items and operate folding equipment while adhering to safety guidelines.

Key responsibilities include moving linen to/from laundry facilities, maintaining organization, and assisting with washers and dryers as needed. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, carry, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time.
• May require lifting bundles (linen) weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as safety labels and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Transport dirty and clean linen and terry to and from the hotel/spa and laundry facilities.
• Empty the laundry chute and prepare loads for washer.
• Pre-sort and separate linen by classification and transfer by lifting, carrying or transporting to work stations.
• Run folding equipment to fold mats, blankets, towels, bedspreads, etc. Includes running ironer.
• Separate laundry requiring mending or special stain removal.
• Clean empty hampers.
• Provide assistance to washer by pushing carts from washing to drying area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate:

$18.00 per hour

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to lift, bend, stoop, carry, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time. May require lifting bundles (linen) weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as safety labels and instructions.
