Job summary

Candlewood Suites Las Vegas is seeking a meticulous Laundry Attendant to operate laundering machines and process linens such as towels, rags, and bedding in Las Vegas, NV. You will ensure proper cleaning, handling and timely completion of duties in a guest-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Loves detail-oriented work and accuracy.
• Prefer 6 months to 1 year of housekeeping or laundry experience.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift/move linen.

Responsibilities

• Tends laundering machines to clean articles such as towels, rags and bedding.
• Loads articles into washer and adds detergent and cleaning agents as directed.
• Transports dried items to dryers and completes time cycles.
• Sorts dried articles by type and folds/places them in designated locations.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and reports needs to supervisor.
• Operates and maintains laundry equipment and notifies maintenance if needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SUMMARY

Tends laundering machines to clean articles such as rags, towels, and bedding by performing the following duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Sorts all linen and separate and treats allstains
• Loads articles into washer and adds specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaningagent
• Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into dryers for measures timecycles
• Sorts dried articles according to type
• Folds and places items in appropriate locations
• Handles contaminated articles per company, franchise, and OSHA standards
• Maintains the inventory of cleaning supplies and linens and ensures the General Manager is aware of any inventory needs
• Maintains all laundry equipment and informs appropriate personnel of any maintenance needs
• All other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

• Preferably 6 months – 1+ year of similar experience
• Ability to clean areas as directed by supervisor
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
