Job summary

Las Vegas Candlewood Suites by IHG is seeking a Laundry Attendant to operate laundering machines and manage linen flow. You will ensure towels, rags, and bedding are cleaned to standard, sort and treat stains, and prepare items for storage in a fast-paced hotel environment.

The role requires standing for long periods and a dependable, detail-focused approach. Training and daily pay benefits are available, with a commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Requires keen eye for details and a friendly, helpful demeanor.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Prior laundry or housekeeping experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Tends laundering machines to clean articles such as rags, towels, and bedding.
• Sorts linen and treats stains; loads articles into washer with detergent.
• Transports clean items to dryers and monitors time cycles.
• Sorts dried articles and folds items for storage.
• Handles contaminated articles per standards and OSHA guidelines.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and linens; informs manager of needs.
• Maintains laundry equipment and reports maintenance needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

Tends laundering machines to clean articles such as rags, towels, and bedding by performing the following duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Sorts all linen and separate and treats allstains
• Loads articles into washer and adds specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaningagent
• Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into dryers for measures timecycles
• Sorts dried articles according totype
• Folds and places items in appropriatelocations
• Handles contaminated articles per company, franchise, and OSHAstandards
• MaintainstheinventoryofcleaningsuppliesandlinensandensurestheGeneralManagerisawareofany inventoryneeds
• Maintains all laundry equipment and informs appropriate personnel of any maintenanceneeds
• All other duties as assigned

• Ability to clean areas as directed by supervisor
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
