Job summary

Residence Inn in Livermore, CA is hiring a Laundry Attendant for a part-time schedule. You will tend laundering machines to clean towels, linens, and bedding, following standard operating procedures and supervisor instructions.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1+ year of similar experience preferred.
• Ability to clean areas as directed by supervisor.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Sort linen and separate/detergent treatment of stains.
• Load articles into washer with specified detergent.
• Move cleaned items to dryers and monitor time cycles.
• Sort dried articles by type.
• Fold and place items in designated locations.
• Handle contaminated articles following standards.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and linens.
• Inform management of any laundry equipment maintenance needs.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

Tends laundering machines to clean articles such as rags, towels, and bedding by performing the following duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Sorts all linen and separate and treats allstains
• Loads articles into washer and adds specified amount of detergent, soap, or other cleaningagent
• Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into dryers for measures timecycles
• Sorts dried articles according totype
• Folds and places items in appropriatelocations
• Handles contaminated articles per company, franchise, and OSHAstandards
• MaintainstheinventoryofcleaningsuppliesandlinensandensurestheGeneralManagerisawareofany inventoryneeds
• Maintains all laundry equipment and informs appropriate personnel of any maintenanceneeds
• All other duties as assigned
