Job summary

Quality Inn South is seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to keep our guest linens fresh and our rooms turning over smoothly. You will operate and monitor washing and drying machines, select cleaning materials, and ensure every item meets our cleanliness standards.

• Professional demeanor and clean uniform required.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and stand for long shifts.
• Ability to move across floors and report safety hazards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, drying machinery.
• Select appropriate cleaning materials.
• Maximize efficiency and water conservation by controlling load size.
• Remove debris from floor after sorting.
• Inspect cleanliness of articles from washer/dryer and place in linen carts.
• Identify stained or damaged linen and determine status for repair, rewash, discard or supervisor review.
• Fold articles into designated sizes by hand or with folding machine.
• Clean lint traps.
• Maintain accurate records of items laundered.
• Replenish laundry supplies as needed during shift.
• Select necessary personal protective equipment for surfaces and cleaning jobs.
• Ensure cleanliness and condition of each assigned area meets standards.

As Laundry Attendants, you will:

• Operate and monitor washing, drying machinery

Minimum Requirements:

To be a successful Laundry Attendant, you need a professional demeanor, clear communication skills and appearance in a clean uniform is required. This job requires continuous movement, regularly bending below the knees, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, reaching overhead, and moving up to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance. You must also be able to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform repetitive motions. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and steps. Grasp turn and manipulate objects varying in size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (i.e., identify defects). Comply with all safety policies and report any maintenance, problems, safety hazards, accidents, and injuries.
