Job summary

Fidelity Cincinnati is seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to support our hotel's housekeeping team. You will sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, pre-treat stains, and ensure all items meet quality standards while maintaining inventory.

This full-time role offers competitive pay and benefits. You will work closely with housekeeping and front office to ensure timely delivery of laundry items and uphold safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in laundry operations or a related field preferred.
• Ability to interpret standard operating procedures, safety, and sanitation instructions.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy bags of laundry.
• Time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize laundry processing efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to standards of operations, procedures, and training materials.
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and laundry items per procedures.
• Pre-treat stains on linens and fabrics to ensure quality results.
• Regularly clean and maintain laundry equipment and report issues.
• Maintain linen inventory and alert supervisor when reordering is needed.
• Inspect laundered items for cleanliness and quality before circulation.
• Distribute clean items to housekeeping and other departments as needed.
• Maintain a lost and found system for laundry items.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines during handling.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and front office for timely delivery.
• Inform supervisor of guest comments and apply corrective measures.
• Communicate with departments via email/logbooks/meetings as needed.
• Assist in special projects and be available to fill in other areas.

  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Description

What you'll do:

• Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos, and verbal instruction
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold all linens, towels, and other laundry items according to established procedures and standards
• Identify and pre-treat stains on linens and fabrics before washing to ensure the best possible results
• Regularly clean and maintain laundry equipment to ensure optimal functionality; report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department
• Keep track of linen inventory and alert supervisor when reordering is necessary to maintain adequate stock levels
• Inspect laundered items for cleanliness and quality, ensuring they meet the hotel’s standards before returning them to circulation
• Distribute clean and folded laundry items to housekeeping and other departments as needed
• Maintain a lost and found system for laundry items and return them to appropriate departments
• Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines while handling and processing laundry items
• Work closely with housekeeping and front office departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of laundry items
• Ensure immediate response is given to guest comments and concerns; inform immediate supervisor and apply corrective measures when necessary
• Ensure open lines of communication with all departments and management via email, logbooks, meetings, etc. to ensure all needs of the outlet are met
• Assist in the implementation of special projects
• Be available to fill in and assist in other areas as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the outlet as directed by the outlet manager and attend relevant meetings as directed

Who you are:

• You have previous experience in laundry operations or a related field preferred.

• You have time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize laundry processing efficiently.
