Job summary

Albert Hotel in Fredericksburg, TX is seeking a Lead Laundry Attendant to manage daily laundry operations, supervise teammates, and ensure linens meet high standards of cleanliness. You will train new staff and act as a point of contact when supervisors are unavailable, coordinating with housekeeping and front office to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires previous laundry experience, stamina to handle heavy loads, and strong time-management skills.

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy bags of laundry.

ALBERT HOTEL is hiring for a LEAD LAUNDRY ATTENDANT

An urban oasis, tucked away off of Main Street in the heart of Fredericksburg, TX, Albert Hotel offers a peaceful yet sophisticated luxury experience in Texas's famed Hill Country. Opened in January 2025, the property features 105 thoughtfully appointed guest rooms and suites, along with uniquely designed bunk rooms and a private house with custom furnishings, locally-curated amenities, and thoughtful touches.

With the guest experience in mind, Albert's elevated amenities include a sunken limestone pool featuring an outdoor bar and cabanas, state-of-the-art fitness center, and a 2,000-square-foot full-service spa. Additionally, the property is home to four on-site culinary outlets, including The Wellhouse and Junebug's BBQ.

Albert boasts 3,600-square-foot of semi-open air event space, a 1,200-square-foot mezzanine deck, and an expansive event lawn, making it a prime destination for weddings, private events, and intimate gatherings.

What you'll do:

• Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos, and verbal instruction
• Lead teammates in completing the daily assigned tasks.
• Assist in the training of new staff members in the department.
• In the absence of a supervisor, be the point person for questions and directing the team.
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold all linens, towels, and other laundry items according to established procedures and standards
• Identify and pre-treat stains on linens and fabrics before washing to ensure the best possible results
• Regularly clean and maintain laundry equipment to ensure optimal functionality; report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department
• Keep track of linen inventory and alert supervisor when reordering is necessary to maintain adequate stock levels
• Inspect laundered items for cleanliness and quality, ensuring they meet the hotel’s standards before returning them to circulation
• Distribute clean and folded laundry items to housekeeping and other departments as needed
• Maintain a lost and found system for laundry items and return them to appropriate departments
• Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines while handling and processing laundry items
• Work closely with housekeeping and front office departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of laundry items
• Ensure immediate response is given to guest comments and concerns; inform immediate supervisor and apply corrective measures when necessary
• Ensure open lines of communication with all departments and management via email, logbooks, meetings, etc. to ensure all needs of the outlet are met
• Assist in the implementation of special projects
• Be available to fill in and assist in other areas as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the outlet as directed by the outlet manager and attend relevant meetings as directed

Who you are:

• You have previous experience in laundry operations or a related field preferred.

• You have time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize laundry processing efficiently.
