Job summary

Holiday Inn Express Charleston Downtown - Medical Area is seeking a friendly Laundry Attendant to help create a clean, welcoming experience for guests. You will handle linen, assist with on-site operations, and contribute to a positive TEAM environment.

The role offers training, opportunities for advancement through our Management Development Program, and a schedule that includes evenings and weekends. Bi-lingual abilities are a plus, and you will work in a fast-paced hotel setting to maintain

Qualifications

• Excellent English communication skills, read/write/speak fluently.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish speaking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that counting is done with the laundry collector to avoid discrepancies.
• Ensure that all linen sent out is returned to the quality standard set by the hotel.
• To distribute clean room linens to the floor linen closet.
• To collect all rubbish bags from the floor landing area and carts

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a hotel setting or in a similar role is ideal, but willing to train the right person. We are dedicated to thoroughly training & developing our team into hotel leaders through interactive teamwork in a positive work environment!


• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays


• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods


• Ability to lift, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation


• Excellent English communication skills and able to read, write and speak fluently


• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish speaking) is a plus
