About The Role
As a Laundry Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will contribute to our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes by maintaining high standards of order and tidiness within the laundry area. Your responsibilities will include washing, drying, ironing, and repairing clothing as needed, while managing linen stocks and raising issues with the Senior Housekeeper. Your attention to detail will ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents.
You will handle linen and clothing with kindness, ensuring they are prepared and redistributed to the correct rooms, taking pride in your work and creating a well-maintained environment that promotes residents' well-being.
We are looking for someone with experience, although training will be provided. Excellent time management, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are essential. You should be a good communicator, considerate, and kind in all interactions, whether with residents or colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to respond appropriately. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training and to seek advice and report concerns when necessary.
