Job summary

HMR Veterans Services is seeking a Laundry Staff to support the facility on site in Huntsville. You will handle daily laundry operations, maintaining cleanliness and safety while coordinating with nursing staff to serve residents efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth and positive emphasis in the facility.
• Coordinate daily laundry services with nursing staff for resident areas.
• Ensure areas and equipment are clean, safe, and sanitary.
• Report occupational exposures and follow procedures for accidents and incidents.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and knock before entering rooms.
• Sort, wash, and distribute clean laundry and linen to residents daily.
