Job summary

HMR Veterans Services is seeking a Laundry Staff member to support the daily laundry operations for our veterans facility, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and sanitary practices in accordance with applicable standards.

You will manage sorting, washing, and distributing clean linen, coordinate with nursing staff, and maintain confidentiality of resident information while upholding residents' rights and dignity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism.
• Able to interact tactfully with residents, staff, family members, visitors, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a warm, personal, and calm environment throughout the facility.
• Coordinate daily laundry services with nursing when performing routine tasks.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary work areas and store equipment properly.
• Report exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals per policy.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and rights.
• Sort, wash, and distribute clean laundry and linen to residents daily as instructed.
