HMR Veterans Services seeks a Laundry Staff member at the Ussery-Roan Texas State Veterans Home in Amarillo, TX. The role involves supporting daily laundry operations, coordinating with nursing staff, and maintaining clean and safe work areas for residents who have served our country.

The position emphasizes respectful interaction with residents and staff, adherence to safety procedures, and confidentiality of resident information.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day laundry operations in accordance with facility standards.
• Coordinate daily laundry services with nursing service when performing routine laundry tasks.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary work areas and properly store equipment.
• Sort, wash, press, and fold laundry and distribute to residents as instructed.
