Job summary

HMR Veterans Services in Houston seeks a dedicated Laundry Staff member to help maintain a clean, sanitary laundry operation in line with federal, state, and local standards for our veterans facility.

You will coordinate with nursing services, protect resident confidentiality, and ensure supplies and equipment are properly managed to support high-quality care and a respectful living environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, staff, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily Laundry Department operations in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
• Coordinate daily laundry with nursing services.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and proper storage of equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Handle laundry supplies and report supply needs to supervisor.
• Sort, wash, and distribute clean laundry to residents daily.
