Job summary

Yona in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a friendly Laundry Aide to join our team and provide warm hospitality to residents, visitors, and coworkers. Experience is not required but preferred, and training will be provided.

You will operate commercial washers and dryers, transport and sort linen, and keep the laundry area clean and organized while following all policies. This role offers benefits and opportunities for growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning chemicals and safe handling.

• Laundry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport laundry containers of soiled and clean linen.
• Operate commercial washing machines and dryers.
• Sort and load linens into washers and dryers.
• Fold and distribute clean linen in carts.
• Maintain accurate linen inventory records.
• Wash, dry, fold and distribute customer clothing as needed.
• Keep laundry areas clean, organized and safe.

Responsibilities

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers
• Proceeds to fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing
• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs
• Delivers laundry as specified
• Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc
• Ability to work independently
• Possess flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively with the residents and personnel
• Laundry experience is a plus
