Job summary

Yona is seeking a Laundry Aide to join the team in New Jersey. You will operate washing machines, sort and fold linens, and ensure clean, orderly laundry areas while delivering friendly service to residents, visitors, and coworkers.

Experience is not required but preferred; training is provided. This role emphasizes reliability, ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to high quality care in a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning chemicals and disinfectants.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility, integrity and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work well with residents and staff.
• Laundry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts.
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers.
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers.
• Folds clean linen and places into carts for delivery.
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory.
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing.
• Maintains laundry areas and equipment, keeping them clean and safe.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs.
• Delivers laundry as specified.
• Puts Customer Service First: ensures high-quality service in a compassionate atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers
• Proceeds to fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing
• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs
• Delivers laundry as specified
• Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights
