Job summary

Yona Solutions is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to join our care team in Charleston, IL. You will transport, wash, fold, and distribute linen and clothing, maintain inventory, and help keep the laundry area clean and safe while delivering friendly service to residents, visitors, and coworkers.

Experience is not required but preferred; we value reliability, integrity, and a strong work ethic. Training is provided and you will work in a respectful, patient-centered environment committed to

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
• Ability to work independently.
• Possess flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively with the residents and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts.
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers.
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers.
• Proceeds to fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts.
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory.
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing.
• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs.
• Delivers laundry as specified.
• Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights
