Job summary

Friendship Village in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a compassionate Laundry Aide to join our Environmental Services team. This full-time, second shift (3p-11p) position pays $15.00 per hour and focuses on washing, ironing, folding and sorting of clothing and linens.

You will help keep Health Center laundry compliant with state and federal regulations, maintain a clean and sanitary environment, and support a caring senior living community.

Qualifications

• Must understand and follow instructions in English.
• Commercial laundry experience is desirable, but not required.
• Ability to process 50-60 pounds of laundry at a time.

Responsibilities

• Collects, cleans and redistributes the Community laundry.
• Ensures that all Health Center laundry is properly sorted, washed and dried according to State and Federal regulations.
• Ensures that the laundry is maintained in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition.

Friendship Village is seeking a compassionate and energetic individualto join our Environmental Services team as a Laundry Aide that is responsible for carrying out the normal activities of the laundry, including washing, ironing, folding, sorting, etc. of clothing and linens. This full-time position is second shift 3p-11p with a startingpay of $15.00 per hour.

Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll be doing each day as a Laundry Aide:

• Collects, cleans and redistributes the Community laundry.
• Ensures that all Health Center laundry is properly sorted, washed and dried according to State and Federal regulations.
• Ensures that the laundry is maintained in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition.
