Job summary

CHILLICOTHE is seeking a Full-Time Laundry Aide for our long-term care facility. Starting pay is $15.00/hour with 10-hour shifts to give more days off. You’ll keep linens and clothing clean, organized, and ready for residents.

You’ll handle sorting, washing, folding, and delivering items, while following sanitary procedures. GED or HS diploma and 1 year of experience preferred; dependable, team player, and compassionate are a must.

Qualifications

  • GED or High School Diploma.
  • 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clean linen for residents' care and comfort.
  • Maintain linen in good repair and remove stained items.
  • Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and deliver laundry to rooms.
  • Follow sanitary procedures and report equipment issues.

What You'll Do
  • Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.
  • Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes and/or stains.
  • Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
  • Label new resident's clothing items as needed
  • Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens
  • Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms
  • Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties Maintain inventory of laundry supplies
  • Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
  • Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator
