Job summary

Friendship Village Kalamazoo is seeking a compassionate Laundry Aide to join the Environmental Services team. This full-time, second shift (3pm–11pm) role starts at $15.00 per hour, with responsibilities including sorting, washing, ironing, and distributing community laundry in a clean and sanitary environment.

The ideal candidate communicates in English, can handle 50–60 pounds per load, and may have prior commercial laundry experience. Excellent benefits are offered with this position.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Commercial laundry experience is desirable, but not required.
• Ability to process 50–60 pounds of laundry at a time.

Friendship Village is seeking a compassionate and energetic individualto join our Environmental Services team as a Laundry Aide that is responsible for carrying out the normal activities of the laundry, including washing, ironing, folding, sorting, etc. of clothing and linens. This full-time position is second shift 3p-11p with a startingpay of $15.00 per hour.

Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll be doing each day as a Laundry Aide:

• Collects, cleans and redistributes the Community laundry.
• Ensures that all Health Center laundry is properly sorted, washed and dried according to State and Federal regulations.
• Ensures that the laundry is maintained in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition.
