Job summary

WashSmart Laundry is growing and seeking a friendly team member to support customers in Montgomery, IL. You will handle payments, assist with wash/dry/fold orders, and educate customers on products while maintaining store standards.

This role requires good communication, cash handling, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Spanish skills are a plus, and flexibility to work nights and weekends is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Cash handling experience is required.
• Payment system experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with the use of payment systems, machine selection, operations, retail purchases, and wash/dry/fold orders.
• Handle customer questions/concerns and inform Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager as needed.
• Maintain a safe store environment by following security procedures and prioritizing safety.
• Document equipment and building maintenance issues and escalate as needed.
• Maintain a clean and well-presented store; educate customers on retail products and processes.
• Assist in wash/dry/fold operations and ensure logs are accurate; address customer concerns promptly.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• All other duties, as assigned.

Position Responsibilities:

• Customer Service and Satisfaction: Assists customers with the use of payment systems, machine selection, operations, retail purchases, and wash/dry/fold orders. Handles customer questions/concerns and informs Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager, as needed.
• Store Safety and Security: Maintains a safe environment inside and outside of the store by following proper security procedures and prioritizing employee and customer safety.
• Store Cleanliness and Upkeep: Ensures that the highest level of cleanliness is maintained inside and outside of the store at all times; follows proper cleaning routines and documents completion.
• Building and Equipment Maintenance: Documents equipment and building maintenance issues appropriately, escalates and/or documents unsafe situations to the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager on duty.
• Retail: Maintains a good visual presentation of retail products at all times. Keep a thorough understanding of retail products and educate the customers; accurately processes sales.
• Wash/Dry/Fold: Provides a consistent quality product to the customer by assisting in choosing the appropriate equipment for clothing and completing the order with care; completes logs accurately. Addresses customer concerns and issues in a timely and satisfactory manner; immediately informs Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager on duty of any claims.
• Policies and Procedures: Ensure that all company policies and procedures are always followed.

• All other duties, as assigned.

Knowledge/Experience:

• Knowledge of commercial laundry products and payment systems is a plus, but not required.
• Spanish bilingual skills are highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:
