Job summary

WashSmart is seeking experienced commercial drivers to join our Chicago-area team. This role requires overnight driving outside Illinois and is based at our Chicago location. You will ensure timely, accurate deliveries while maintaining safety and a professional appearance.

Ideal candidates have a clean driving record, a valid driver's license, and can lift 50 lbs with the ability to push/pull a 700 lb cart. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, and comfort with GPS and smartphone usage is required.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a clean driving record and hold a valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass background check.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and push/pull a wheeled cart of 700lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload linen carts at both the company’s and customer’s place of business tagging each one accordingly.
• Completely fill out all required paperwork/logs and turn in daily.
• Disinfect vehicles after each soil pickup.
• Maintain the company vehicle in a clean and orderly manner.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Turn in a Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection Report daily.
• Perform customer deliveries in an accurate and timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary: To assure customer deliveries are made with accuracy, timeliness. And within set time parameters. Perform job duties in a safe and courteous manner while maintaining an unblemished driving record. Adhere to all company requirements.

• Be in uniform and maintain a neat appearance every workday.
• Adhere to Laundry Ops attendance policy.
• Keep company equipment lean and organized.
• Report any mechanical issue to maintenance manager promptly.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Know how to use a GPS
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Experience using a smartphone
• Requires overnight driving.
