Qualifications

• Current Maryland RN license in good standing.
• Completion of MBON Certified 40-hour didactic FNE course within 60 days of start.
• 18 months of clinical experience; 3 years preferred.
• Minimum 3 adult and 3 pediatric FNE exam cases per license for renewal cadence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in forensic evidentiary examinations under supervision until certification.
• Provide compassionate care to assault victims and apply clinical protocols.
• Obtain consent for photography and evidence collection.
• Perform evidentiary assessments and documentation.
• Maintain chain of custody and coordinate with law enforcement and prosecutors.
• Provide education on HIV exposure risk and prophylaxis.
• Participate in SART meetings and peer reviews.
