Job summary

Frederick Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Forensic Nurse Examiner role. The position involves 72 hours bi-weekly with 9 or 12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Part-time applicants are considered.

The FNE team provides forensic assessments, evidence collection, and court documentation as needed. Minimum requirements include Maryland FNE certification, 2 years RN experience with 1 year FNE experience, CPR certification, and willingness to work in a grant-funded program.

Qualifications

• Requires 2 years RN experience with 1 year Forensic Nurse Examiner experience.
• Maryland FNE Certification is required.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides evidentiary examinations and thorough documentation.
• Leads nursing care using established nursing process and plan of care.
• Collaborates with law enforcement and advocacy programs; may testify as expert witness.
