Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to independently plan and develop tooling and production processes for launch vehicle structures, propulsion, and integration systems. You will own moderate tooling projects end to end, from concept through validation, and collaborate with design, manufacturing, and facilities teams to ensure safe, cost-effective operations.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace or heavy industry manufacturing engineering, strong CAD skills, and experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, tooling design, or process development in aerospace/industrial settings.
• Experience with cost estimates, CapEx justifications, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize tooling and production processes for launch vehicle structures and systems.
• Lead moderate tooling/fixture development from concept through production validation.
• Coordinate with design, manufacturing, test, supply chain, and facilities teams to improve throughput, cost, and quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and perform root cause analysis for continuous improvement.
