Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington state is seeking an experienced assembly technician to support the manufacturing, assembling and testing of launch vehicle components. You will join a team building spacecraft and launch facility systems, ensuring safety and quality in every step.

Responsibilities include assembling sub-assemblies for New Shepard and New Glenn, reviewing instructions, and coordinating with engineers.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in precision assembly.
  • Experience drilling and preparing close tolerance holes for structural assembly.
  • Ability to read drawings and prints and follow work instructions.
  • Experience with aerospace or military hardware preferred.
  • Proficiency with standard mechanical tools and fabrication equipment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Work Monday-Thursday, 10 hour shifts (5AM-3:30PM) with potential overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble a variety of structural, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanically actuated components for New Shepard, New Glenn, and engine parts.
  • Assemble structural components to aerospace standards and review design concepts with engineers.
  • Edit and follow work instructions and plan complex installation steps.
  • Safely work with hazardous systems and high-pressure equipment.
  • Collaborate with team in a dynamic, multi-priority environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
