Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking technicians to assemble launch vehicle components and support hardware testing. You will build and inspect sub-assemblies for New Shepard, New Glenn, and engine components, adhering to aerospace standards and procedures.

Role requires 3–5+ years in precision assembly, strong documentation, and comfort with drawings, GD&T, and fabrication tools. This fixed schedule runs Mon-Thu, 5AM–3:30PM, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

  • Excellent demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in precision assembly.
  • Experience drilling and preparing close tolerance holes for structural assembly and fastener installation.
  • Ability to document and maintain accurate records, read drawings and prints.
  • Ability to use standard tools and basic fabrication equipment.
  • Experience assembling and troubleshooting aerospace, military hardware, or related fields.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble sub-assemblies for New Shepard, New Glenn, and engine components.
  • Assemble structural components to aerospace standards.
  • Review design concepts with engineers and provide feedback for ease of assembly.
  • Follow work instructions and plan steps for complex mechanical installations.
  • Safely work with hazardous systems and high-pressure components.
  • Collaborate with team amidst changing priorities.
