Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle seeks a Sub Assembly Technician II (Day Shift) to oversee assembly of aerospace sub-assemblies for launch vehicles. You will work in a hands-on role building hardware that enables spaceflight, following strict procedures and safety standards.

The position requires 3–5+ years in precision assembly, ability to read drawings, document work, and collaborate with engineers. A strong bias for quality and safety, plus good communication, will help you excel in a dynamic team

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in precision assembly.
  • Ability to read drawings and prints.
  • Ability to document and maintain accurate records, strict procedural compliance.
  • Experience using standard mechanical tools and fabrication equipment.
  • Experience assembling aerospace or military hardware or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Assembly of structural, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical sub-assemblies for launch vehicles.
  • Assemble structural components to aerospace standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers to review designs and provide feedback.
  • Review, edit and follow work instructions for assembly tasks.
  • Plan and communicate assembly steps for complex installations.
  • Safely work with hazardous systems and high pressure.
  • Work in a team with changing priorities.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
