Blue Origin is seeking a Test & Launch Engineer to design, operate, and maintain large-scale test facilities for orbital rockets and launch vehicle systems. You will generate test procedures, work with technicians, and review data to ensure system readiness for high-stakes space missions.

The role demands breadth across cryogenics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, and software, with strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to push cadence and reliability.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience authoring automated test sequences for cryogenic, propellant, or pneumatic processes.
• Ability to operate multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic environment.
• Real-time console operations experience with anomaly response.
• Experience with PLC, DAQ, HIL, IGS, and test networking.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, operate, and maintain test facilities for orbital rockets and launch vehicle systems.
• Develop and execute test procedures for high-pressure gas, cryogenic, and hypergolic systems.
• Collaborate with design engineering, QA, supply chain, and production to accelerate space programs.
• Review test data, assess facility health, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare test documentation, work instructions, and inspection plans for ground/test systems.
• Support PHAs/HAZOPs and ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO9001 safety standards.
