Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Seattle, WA is seeking an entry level test engineer to join our space systems team. You will work on the design, analysis, and operation of test systems for propulsion, fluid, mechanical and electronic subsystems, supporting safety and reliability in our hardware-in-test environments.

Candidates should have a recent B.S. in mechanical, aerospace, electrical engineering, or related field and hands-on testing internship or co-op; familiarity with LabVIEW and CAD tools is a plus;

Qualifications

  • Minimum B.S. in mechanical, aerospace, electrical or similar discipline.
  • Recent graduate and able to start Fall 2026.
  • Experience with a testing environment and executing test procedures.
  • Internship/co-op or hands-on experience demonstrating technical skills and leadership.
  • Ability to earn trust and foster an inclusive culture.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams on rapid development programs.
  • Desirable: advanced degree in mechanical/aerospace/electrical.
  • Familiar with LabVIEW, AutoCAD P&ID, Winplot, Windchill, Creo.
  • Experience with hazard and risk analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analysis, and operation of test systems for testing propulsion, fluids, mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Projects include integration of safety, manufacturing, operations, materials and processes, instrumentation, test control systems, and systems engineering.
  • Analyze test data to support requirements verification tasks.
  • Direct hardware integration into test facilities.
  • Conduct test planning, risk assessments, execution, and post-test data review.
  • Develop test support software and equipment to improve test frequency and quality.
  • Identify and resolve test-related problems.
