Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a hands-on Test and Launch Engineer to join the Launch Operations team. You will test, inspect, and maintain ground support equipment, translating requirements into robust test and maintenance processes.

The role requires a broad engineering background (mechanical, electrical, cryogenics, hydraulics) and strong safety focus, with cross-functional collaboration to accelerate flight readiness and ensure launch cadence.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience with fluids test engineering, console operator, or similar hands-on roles.
• Knowledge of pressurized gas, cryogenics, fluids, hydraulics, controls, or structures.
• Experience diagnosing hardware/instrumentation and reading schematics/P&IDs.
• 1+ year writing English work instructions or test procedures.
• Strong safety focus and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain launch facility components to support activities.
• Translate requirements into robust test and maintenance processes.
• Collaborate with design, QA, supply chain, and production teams.
• Develop test docs, work instructions, and inspection plans.
• Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 / ISO 9001 standards.
• Drive efficiency gains and cost reductions for mission readiness.
