Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems Sector in Redondo Beach, CA, is seeking a Launch Systems Integration Systems Engineer – Level 5 to join our team. The role focuses on developing space vehicle to launch vehicle interface requirements and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful launches.

The position requires active SCI access or Top Secret clearance, extensive experience in systems engineering, and collaboration with launch service providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 12+ years of engineering experience OR
• Master's degree in STEM with 10+ years of engineering experience OR
• PhD in STEM with 8+ years of engineering experience
• Active SCI access at time of application and prior to start date OR
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance (or equivalent) at time of application and prior to start date and ability to obtain SCI access

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate integrated analysis plans such as coupled load cycles and integrated thermal analyses
• Perform integrated analyses with the launch services provider(s)
• Develop the mission interface control document with the launch service provider(s), customer(s), and internal stakeholders
• Develop and manage interface requirements document and traceability matrices
• Support verification of the mission interface control documents with the launch service provider(s)
• Develop and manage metrics; report on mission interface control documents, requirements maturity, and verification burndown; prepare inputs for launch readiness reviews
